5. 😵 Meta Had a Major Outage

Engadget released their annual “best of CES” article, that outlined the best of what’s to come in the world of tech. Among the list were cutting-edge developments like a see-through TV and a dual-screen notebook. Did you get any of these items for Christmas this year? (Engadget)

3. 😬 Google Laid Off Hundreds

Google didn’t have the best start to the year, as they made a huge round of layoffs in early 2024. The layoffs included hundreds of employees that worked on some of the company’s most recognizable products. (CNN)

2. ✉️ OpenAI Published Musk’s Emails

OpenAI came in with the receipts. Entrepreneur Elon Musk sued OpenAI last March for “chasing profit and diverging from their original nonprofit mission.” This prompted the tech company to publish several emails from Musk in order to discredit his claim. (CNN)

1. 🛒 Walmart Delivered to Your Fridge

Last May, Walmart announced their plan to expand their popular InHome delivery service to households in parts of Massachusetts. InHome delivers fresh groceries and household items to your doorstep — but unlike other delivery services, they give the option of unpacking the items directly into your kitchen or garage refrigerators.
