Apple finally released a beta version of a slew of its highly-anticipated Apple Intelligence features, including its long-awaited ChatGPT integration. It’s not the whole AI product Apple had hyped up, but it does include Apple’s image generator for new emojis, its Image Wand which allows users to remove objects from photos, and Apple Intelligence text rewrites.

3. 📉 McDonald’s E. Coli Outbreak Hits Stock

Federal health officials are investigating cases of E. coli in ten states linked to McDonald’s Quarter Pounder hamburgers, with 49 reported illnesses, ten hospitalizations, and one death. As a result, financial services firm Baird has lowered McDonald’s earnings per share, reflecting a 4% decrease.

5. 💳 Apple & Goldman Sachs Pay $89M Over Apple Card Failures

That’s one expensive credit card bill. The U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ordered Goldman Sachs and Apple to pay $89 million and temporarily banned Goldman from issuing new credit cards because of the companies’ mishandling of their Apple Card partnership. The failures caused unresolved charge disputes and incorrect credit reports for some customers.

6. ⛽️ Amazon Is Offering Gas Discounts For Prime Members

Watch out, Walmart+, Amazon Prime is coming for you. The company announced today that Prime members will receive a discount of 10 cents per gallon at around 7,000 Amoco, AM/PM, and BP gas stations across the U.S.

7.  🐟 Goldfish Is Changing Its Name

In an effort to attract adults and reestablish its relevance, the Pepperidge Farm snack brand is changing its name for a limited time to “Chilean Sea Bass.” Despite rebranding to a more mature seafood item, the recipe and appearance of the snack aren’t changing.
