What you missed today
Good evening!
This one’s for those of you obsessed with buying up domains and tracking their usage.
Here are the 7 things you missed today:
1. 🙌 Boeing Strike Is Finally Over
More than 33,000 Boeing workers have been striking since September, which is estimated to have cost the US economy more than $9.6 billion. But the worker unions have finally reached a tentative agreement with the company to receive a 43% wage increase over four years as well as a $12k bonus and 401(k) matching up to 8%.
2. 👀 Plan To Hire More Than 2 People In 2025?
If so, you don’t need a full-time recruiter... you just need someone to handle the time-consuming, frustrating parts of the search. With GoCarpathian, you get a fractional recruiter for only $1k/month to:
Skip resume sorting and endless screening calls
Ensure A+ talent with a perfect-fit guarantee
Save thousands on traditional placement costs
They place dozens of quality hires in marketing, dev, operations, and more every month without the full-time recruiter expense.
3. 💳 Google Beat Lawsuit Over Gift Card Fraud
A Google Play customer opened a class-action lawsuit against Google for “illegally profiting from Google Play gift card scams” and refusing to refund millions of dollars stolen from victims.

5. 🚙 Uber and Lyft Drivers in MA Won The Right To Unionize
And somehow Uber and Lyft didn’t even work to oppose this Massachusetts ballot measure. The first-of-its-kind state measure, which won 54-46, allows drivers to form a union… but experts say that it distracts from the main goal of reclassifying drivers as employees.
6. 🔗 OpenAI Acquired Chat Domain
In the words of DJ Khalid, another one. OpenAI added the “chat.com” domain to its collection of high-profile domain names. As of this morning, the chat domain now redirects to OpenAI’s chatbot ChatGPT.
7. 🏦 FTC Is Going After Neobank Dave
The Federal Trade Commission announced that it’s planning to take action against the online cash app and neobank Dave for “using misleading marketing to deceive consumers.” The main issues are how Dave marketed $500 cash advances to consumers that it rarely offered and the “Express Fee” charged for customers to get money immediately.
Bonus. CEO Tip Of The Day
Only 46% of Americans read a book in the past year and only 18% have read ten or more. When was the last time you read a book? This is why (& how!) you should be reading.
