Netflix is taking on Google and Amazon as competitors as it launches its own advertising technology platform only a year and a half after entering the ads business. Netflix originally partnered with Microsoft to enter the ad space.

2.  💰 Palo Alto Networks is Buying IBM Assets

Cybersecurity company Palo Alto Networks is buying IBM’s QRadar cloud software security assets to access more consultants and a bigger customer base. The price of the sale is undisclosed but includes IBM adopting Palo Alto products internally and training over 1,000 consultants on them.

3. 📈 Dell Shares Soared From AI Boom

Dell shares soared more than 11% to an all-time high after Morgan Stanley raised its price target and voiced predictions that Dell is primed for sales with the large demand for AI servers.

4.  🏈 Netflix Expands Into Live NFL Games

In more Netflix news, the streaming service announced a three-year deal to broadcast the NFL’s Christmas Day games, starting this year with airing two NFL games on the holiday. It’s also a big deal for the NFL, as they nab another major U.S. network partnership in addition to Amazon and YouTube TV.

5. 🛒 Grocery Prices Are Dropping

After years of increasing prices, grocery costs finally fell last month by 0.2%, according to inflation data by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. On the flip side, food prices at restaurants rose 0.3% in that period.
