The defense tech company has raised a $5 billion Series H round at a $61 billion valuation, led by returning investors Thrive Capital and Andreessen Horowitz. The round doubles the company’s valuation to $61 billion from its $2.5 billion round last year led by Founders Fund. (TechCrunch)

Rivian’s spinoff company Mind Robotics raised another $400 million, just two months after raising $500 million. The funding round, led by Kleiner Perkins, will be used to help the company develop industrial robotics that can further automate factory operations. (TechCrunch)
6. 💬 Amazon is Ditching its Rufus Chatbot
Goodbye, Rufus. Amazon is ditching the shopping chatbot and bringing in its household name Alexa assistant as the centerpiece of its AI shopping strategy. Alexa for Shopping, an eCommerce bot that can answer queries and take actions on behalf of users, brings together Rufus and Alexa+ to be “the world’s best, most personalized AI assistant for shopping.” (CNBC)
