1. 😬 Microsoft Might Sue OpenAI & Amazon
Last month, Amazon and OpenAI signed several agreements, including one that makes Amazon Web Services the exclusive third-party cloud provider for OpenAI’s AI agent enterprise platform Frontier. Problem is, this might violate OpenAI’s $50 billion partnership with Microsoft, which requires the startup’s models to be accessed through Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform. AI chips might not be Nvidia’s bread and butter soon. After ramping up in 2020, Nvidia’s networking business, designed to connect data centers, has grown into the company’s second-largest revenue driver behind compute. Last quarter, it reported $11 billion in revenue, a year-over-year increase of 267%, and brought in more than $31 billion for the full year. (TechCrunch)

5. 🪄 Disney’s Got a New CEO
Bob Iger’s reign has ended. Josh D’Amaro, most recently chairman of Disney Experiences, has officially stepped in as CEO of the media and theme park powerhouse. The longtime Disney exec is taking over after a period of uncertainty for the 100-year-old company with mixed receptions from Wall Street… but many expect D’Amaro to turn a new chapter for Disney. 6. 🩺 Oura Health Stole an Apple Exec
Disney’s not the only major company with exec shifts this week. Smart ring maker Oura Health has successfully poached Brian Lynch, Apple’s Senior Director of Home Devices since 2022. Lynch joins Oura as its SVP of Hardware Engineering, alongside fellow former Applers Ricky Bloomfield (Oura’s Chief Medical Officer) and Miklu Silvanto (Oura’s Head of Design). (LinkedIn)

7. 🥷 Hackers Are Targeting Millions of iPhones
If you’re an iPhone user, be warned. Hackers are targeting iOS devices running versions 18.4-18.7 with a new hacking toolkit called DarkSword which, unlike most malware, doesn’t need to be installed on a target’s device. A victim simply needs to visit an infected website and DarkSword steals personal or financial data. (Mashable)
