1. 🛩️ Boeing Appointed New CEO
After reporting a core operating loss of $1.4 billion in Q2 (more than triple the loss from a year ago), Boeing announced Robert “Kelly” Ortberg, former CEO of supplier Rockwell Collins, as its new CEO effective August 8. Ortberg replaces retiring CEO Dave Calhoun, who was criticized for the company’s safety and quality problems.
