1. 🤖 Thinking Machines Lab Released its First AI Model
Meet Inkling, the first in-house AI model from Thinking Machines Lab, the AI startup founded by former OpenAI CTO Mira Murati. Unlike OpenAI’s flagship model, it’s open-weight, meaning outside developers and companies can download and modify it directly. For now, its outputs are limited to text, including code, styled artifacts, and structured data. (TechCrunch)

The $230 Codex Micro is a specialized, RGB-lit mini-keyboard designed to let users monitor and quickly interact with multiple Codex agents with a glance and a few clicks. The device is a “limited-run collaboration” with Work Louder, which sells a similar Creator Micro line of customizable keyboards for creative professionals. (ArsTechnica)

Neko Health, the body-scanning startup founded by Spotify’s Daniel Ek, has raised $700 million in a Series C that values the company at nearly $7 billion, roughly 4x its worth in January 2025. The round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and the funding will be used to help Neko open its first U.S. clinics starting in New York this year. (The Next Web)
6. 🏦 Stripe & Advent Submitted a Bid to Buy PayPal for $53.4Bn
Stripe and private equity firm Advent International reportedly submitted a joint bid to acquire PayPal earlier this month. The deal is valued at approximately $53.4 billion with roughly $50 billion backed in committed bank financing. If completed, the acquisition would unite two of the biggest names in digital payments with Stripe and Advent jointly owning PayPal. (TechCrunch)

7. 🔴 OpenAI Trained an AI for Red-Teaming AI
According to OpenAI, its new GPT-Red model “can break nearly all models it’s pitted against” and has been used to find vulnerabilities in GPT-5.6 Sol. As a result, the process has made Sol the company’s “most robust model to prompt injections to date.” (The Verge)
