As a result, Theodore Farnsworth, the former CEO of MoviePass’ parent company Helios and Matheson Analytics, has pleaded guilty to charges of security fraud and conspiracy and could face up to 25 years in prison. 3. 🦾 Delta is Overhauling its Tech With AI

All those airport headaches? Delta Airlines believes AI can solve them. In its CES keynote at Las Vegas’ Sphere, Delta CEO Ed Bastian unveiled the company’s new AI assistant Delta Concierge, which helps customers rebook delayed flights, suggest the fastest route to the gate, and more. Delta will also offer AI-personalized content recommendations for seatback entertainment. (Quartz)

5. 😳 41% of Companies Plan to Reduce Workforces by 2030 With AI

Speaking of AI… it’s coming for human jobs. According to a World Economic Forum survey, 41% of employers intend to downsize their workforce as AI automates certain tasks. 77% of surveyed companies also said they were planning to reskill and upskill their current workers over the next 5 years to work better with AI. 6. 🚗 Used Vehicle Prices Expected to Continue to Stabilize

It seems the pandemic volatility on used vehicle prices is finally cooling down. After starting to normalize last year, used vehicle prices are expected to continue to stabilize in 2025 with wholesale prices on Cox Automotive’s Manheim Used Vehicle Value Index expected to end this year 1.4% higher than in December 2024. 7. 🍋 Chick-fil-A Cut 10,000 Hrs of Labor With Robots

When life gives you lemons… have robots cut them. The fast food company is using robots to handle the bulk of its lemon juice production at its California Bay Center Foods facility, processing up to 25 truckloads of lemons a day. The result is fewer human injuries, nearly 100% use of the lemons (compared to ~40% with human workers), and 10,000 work hours/day saved. (Quartz)
