Jeff Bezos’ space company is trying to compete with Jeff Bezos’ eCommerce company. Astronautics company Blue Origin announced its plans to deploy over 5,400 satellites into space in Q4 2027 for a communications network to rival SpaceX’s Starlink and Amazon’s Leo. The network, TeraWave, is targeted for enterprise, data center, and government users providing data speeds of “up to 6 terabits per second.” (CNBC)

Farewell to one of the last ad-free social platforms. Starting next week, Meta’s expanding ads on Threads to all users globally, though it may take months for the full rollout to complete. 5. 🏬 Amazon is Launching its Biggest Brick and Mortar
Anyone remember Amazon Books? Well, there’s a new physical Amazon endeavor to check out. The eCommerce giant announced plans to open a 230,000 square foot retail facility in Orland Park, Illinois (a Chicago suburb) no earlier than 2027. The megastore’s campus will span 35 acres, have roughly 800 parking spots, and won’t require shoppers to be a member of Amazon Prime. (Quartz)
6. 📑 Adobe Acrobat’s AI Can Turn PDFs Into Podcasts
Does everything need a podcast? Maybe. Adobe’s new Acrobat generative AI features allow users to quickly edit PDFs and summarize them in audio and visual forms. The new “Generate Podcast” feature provides a podcast-style audio summary of whatever documents you feed it, including notes, meeting transcriptions, lengthy reports, and educational guides. 7. 👀 Apple is Working on an AirTag-Sized AI Wearable
Welcome back, Humane’s AI Pin. Apple is reportedly working on an AI-powered wearable pin with cameras and microphones designed to pick up a user’s surroundings. The rumored device is the size of an AirTag and still “in the early stages” of development, but could arrive as soon as 2027. (The Verge)
