Meet Google’s “most capable” AI model suite yet: Gemini 2.0. Google released the suite of models to the public today after giving initial access to developers and testers in December. Enterprise HR platform Workday laid off 1,750 employees today – approximately 8.5% of its total head count. The Silicon Valley-based company is the latest to announce layoffs in recent weeks with Okta laying off 180 employees yesterday, Cruise slashing 50% of its workforce, and Amazon cutting roles in its sustainability department.
