1. Google Is Killing Passwords
Google is on a mission to make “passwords a rarity, and eventually obsolete.” In an update announced Tuesday, Google says it plans to replace passwords with passkeys. 2. Right-To-Repair Is Here
California’s governor has signed the Right to Repair Act, making it the law that consumers must be able to repair devices on their own or be able to take them to an independent shop. Basically, Californians will get to skip the Apple Store. It’s the toughest of its kind in the US so far and is expected to create a ripple effect across the US… Read more here.
3. The EU Warns X
Misinformation about the attack in Israel has been spreading all over X and now European officials have issued a warning to Elon Musk’s platform. Hosting misinformation and illegal content potentially violates EU rules and a letter about it was sent directly to Musk.
