6. 🔒 Walmart Is Testing New In-Store Tech To Lock Down Everyday Items

In an effort to combat the surge in retail theft, Walmart is planning to lock up every day items like deodorant or shampoo. Instead, customers will be able to unlock security cases directly from their smartphones.

7.  🌐 Mozilla Foundation Lays Off 30% Of Staff

The Mozilla Foundation, the nonprofit arm of the Firefox browser maker, has laid off 30% of its employees as part of a “relentless onslaught of change.” As a result, the entire advocacy and global programs divisions are “no longer a part of [the] structure.”

Bonus. CEO Tip Of The Day

Should Election Day be a national holiday in the US? Does your company offer it as a holiday for employees? It’s estimated that the election costs $3.5 billion per hour in lost productivity. Just some food for thought.
