Good evening!

Looking for a new app to play around with? Maybe try Jack Dorsey’s latest…

Here are the 7 things you missed today:

1. 👀 Anthropic is Looking to Raise $5Bn at a $170Bn Valuation

OpenAI competitor Anthropic is in talks to raise between $3-5 billion in a funding round led by Iconiq Capital that would value the AI startup at $170 billion, nearly triple where the company stood earlier in the year. (CNBC)

2. 💡 Why we switched from Webflow to Framer

Framer feels like a true design tool—not just a visual editor. You design directly on the canvas, and what you see is exactly what goes live. No handoff, no rebuild, just streamlined site creation with real-time results.

3. 🔥 Palo Alto Networks is Nearing a $20Bn+ Takeover of CyberArk

Shares of identity management software maker CyberArk soared 13% today after The Wall Street Journal reported that cybersecurity provider Palo Alto Networks is closing in on a deal to buy the company for more than $20 billion. The transition would be the firm’s largest-ever purchase. (CNBC)

5. 💬 Jack Dorsey’s Bitchat App is Now Available

Bluetooth-based messaging app Bitchat, created by Twitter and Block founder Jack Dorsey, is now available to download from the iOS App Store. The app, which Dorsey says he coded the basis of over a weekend, operates through Bluetooth mesh networks, allowing users to send messages to those within the range of Bluetooth connectivity without cell reception or a WiFi connection. 6. 💰 Nvidia Competitor Groq is Nearing a $6Bn Valuation

AI chip startup Groq (not to be confused with xAI’s Grok) is reportedly seeking to raise $300–600 million at a valuation near $6 billion, nearly double its 2024 valuation. The new round is led by Austin-based firm Disruptive. (TechCrunch)

7. 🤖 Meta is Planning to Let Job Candidates Use AI During Coding Interviews

Meta is planning to pilot “AI-Enabled Interviews,” granting select coding applicants access to AI assistants during tests to better reflect real-world dev practices and reduce AI-related cheating risks. The company has also asked existing employees to volunteer for a “mock AI-enabled interview” to help develop the feature. (Wired)
