1. 📱 Apple’s iOS 26 Beta 4 is Here
Beta testers, activate! Apple just released the fourth developer beta version of its next big software update, iOS 16. The new version brings slight changes to its Liquid Glass redesign and reintroduces its infamous AI-powered notification summaries for news and more. The iOS 16 public beta is expected to launch later this week. (TechCrunch)

3. 💰 OpenAI is Paying Oracle $30Bn/Yr For Data Center Services
On June 30, Oracle disclosed in an SEC filing that it signed a cloud deal that would generate $30 billion a year in revenue, but didn’t say from who… turns out, it’s OpenAI. CEO Sam Altman confirmed the details of the contract, but not the dollar amount. Put two and two together and you get 4.5 gigawatts of capacity as part of Stargate. (TechCrunch)

Some interesting buzz… Amazon announced plans to acquire wearables startup Bee AI, which makes a $50 wristband that is equipped with AI that listens to and analyzes conversations to provide summaries, to-do lists, and reminders for everyday tasks. (CNBC)
6. 👓 Microsoft’s Copilot Vision is Coming to Windows 11 PCs
Microsoft is releasing several new AI features for Windows 11 including its Copilot Vision tool that can scan everything on your screen. The features are gradually rolling out to all users now, but also include tools that are exclusive to Copilot Plus PCs. (The Verge)
7. 🗞️ LA Times is Planning to Go Public
Would you buy LAT? Los Angeles Times owner Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong spoke on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart about plans to take the newspaper public in the coming year to allow the Times “to be democratized.” Soon-Shiong said he’s working with an organization to put together the deal, but didn’t share any info on the org or what the deal would involve. (CNBC)
