New York just became the first state to halt data center construction. Governor Kathy Hochul signed an executive order today that temporarily bars the state from approving new permits for data centers 50 megawatts or larger, potentially affecting more than a dozen projects. (TechCrunch)
6. 🛜 Frontier Airlines is Getting In-Flight WiFi Through Starlink
SpaceX’s Starlink is getting more air miles. The satellite internet service is joining Frontier Airlines’ fleet as the in-flight wifi provider, with the first equipped aircraft set to roll out in early 2027. Frontier is one of five airlines in the portfolio of private equity firm Indigo Partners that plan to adopt Starlink. (Quartz)

7. 💺 United Airlines is Making the Middle Seat a Paid Upgrade
It’s not as crazy as it sounds. United Airlines is installing a fixed shared table that spans the width of an empty middle seat in select rows of its new Airbus A321XLR aircraft and plans to sell access to the seating configuration as a paid Economy Plus option. The option will go on sale later this year and may be the only U.S. carrier offering this type of seat. (Quartz)
