1. ✂️ Stripe Cut 300 Jobs

Payments company Stripe cut 300 jobs – or 3.5% of its workforce – mostly in product, engineering, and operations. That said, they’re “not slowing down hiring” and still expect to increase headcount by 10,000 by the end of the year – a 17% increase. (CNBC)

5. 💸 JetBlue is Now Accepting Venmo

JetBlue is the first airline to now accept Venmo as a payment options for flights booked on its website. The feature, which will soon be available on the airline’s mobile app, allows US customers to use their Venmo balance, linked bank accounts, or debit and credit cards to pay for flights directly. 6. 🗣️ Anthropic is Releasing a ‘Two-Way’ Voice Mode for Claude

In an attempt to compete with OpenAI, Anthropic announced plans to release a “two-way” voice mode for its AI chatbot, Claude, as well as a memory feature that lets Claude remember more about users and past conversations. (TechCrunch)

7. 🔔 Mistral AI is Planning an IPO

French AI lab Mistral is working toward an initial public offering, according to co-founder and CEO Arthur Mensch at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Mistral has raised about $1.14 billion in capital to date and was last valued around $6 billion. (TechCrunch)
