Good evening!
Tough news from McKinsey today for all of you return-to-office lovers.
Here are the 7 things you missed today:
1. 🤖 xAI Debuted its Grok 3 AI Model
xAI leaders announced the latest model of Grok AI on an X livestream. The new model reportedly performs better across math, science, and coding benchmarks than Google’s Gemini, OpenAI’s GPT-4o, Anthropic’s Claude 3.5, and DeepSeek’s V3 model. Grok 3 is now available to X Premium+ subscribers or subscribers to Grok’s standalone app. (CNN)
2. 📱 Apple Might Drop a New iPhone Tomorrow
Apple CEO Tim Cook teased a launch for “the newest member of the family” in next event tomorrow. Many are speculating the product to be an updated iPhone SE – the smaller iPhone version Apple introduced in 2016. The new version is expected to use the same A18 chip as the iPhone 16, have a full-screen OLED display, and include Apple Intelligence capabilities. (Quartz)
3. 👀 Lead-Gen Breakthrough
If you haven't heard by now: I've been working with a handful of software & service businesses on a new lead funnel involving hyper-targeted ads & nurturing email sequences. The results are starting to speak for themself:
"I have tried dozens of lead gen funnels in my 15 year digital marketing career and nothing ‘just works’ like this does." - Agency Owner
"I no longer need to spend 10+ hours a week on cold outbound." - Partnerships Director
I'm looking for 3 more SaaS or local Service Businesses to round out the month.
4. 👟 Nike is Teaming Up With Skims
Nike has teamed up with Kim Kardashian’s intimates brand Skims to launch a new line of activewear called NikeSKIMS, which will include apparel, footwear, and accessories. The initial collection is expected to debut this spring with a global rollout planned for 2026. The collaboration is Nike’s attempt to reclaim market share and better compete with women-centered brands like Lululemon, Alo Yoga, and Vuori. (CNBC)
5. 🧑🏫 Fiverr Wants Freelancers To Train AI on Their Work
Gig work marketplace Fiverr announced the launch of several new efforts today, many aimed at attracting freelancers to its platform and training AI models on their bodies of work to use it to automate future jobs. Fiverr is positioning it as a way for freelancers to “scale their work” and would charge customers for access to the AI-generated content. (TechCrunch)

7. 🥤 Coca-Cola Launched a New Product to Compete With Olipop & Poppi
Olipop and Poppi better watch out. Coca-Cola is launching a prebiotic soda brand called Simply Pop, a nod to Coke’s Simply juice brand. The alternative soda is expected to start rolling out to US consumers on the West Coast and Southeast in late February. It’s a key move as soda consumption in the US has continued to fall, while digestive health soft drinks has grown to roughly $440 million as of last year. (CNBC)
Bonus. CEO Tip Of The Day
According to a new report by McKinsey, productivity in the workplace has little to do with whether employees are doing their work in an office or remotely. Also of note, “in-person, remote, and hybrid workers all report mostly similar levels of intent to quit, burnout, effort, and satisfaction.”
