Cool or creepy? Amazon just rolled out a controversial new feature to its Ring doorbells that can now identify visitors through an AI-powered facial-recognition feature. The feature, “Familiar Faces,” was announced earlier this September and is rolling out to Ring device owners in the U.S. (TechCrunch)
7. 🇮🇳 Microsoft Plans to Invest $17.5Bn in India by 2029
Now that’s a statement. Microsoft announced its plans to invest $17.5 billion in India over the next four years in an effort to expand its AI and cloud footprint in the nation. The investment is Microsoft’s largest in Asia and will go to funding new data centers, AI infrastructure, and skilling programs from 2026-2029. (TechCrunch)
