Good Evening!

If you’re in Seattle or Philly, Amazon’s got a fun new feature for you to try out.

Here are the 7 things you missed today:

1. 🛍️ 202.9M U.S. Consumers Shopped Last Weekend

Turns out Americans are still shopping. The five-day stretch from Thanksgiving Day through Cyber Monday led 202.9 million U.S. consumers to shop for deals, according to a survey by the National Retail Federation and Prosper Insights & Analytics. The shopping turnout is the largest since NRF began tracking in 2017. (CNBC)

2. 🎯 Let’s Talk Brand. C-Suite to C-Suite

If your team isn’t aligned on the message, your market won’t be either. That misalignment slows growth, weakens your position, and disrupts the buyer journey.

3. ☁️ AWS Will Let Clients Customize AI Models For $100k/Yr

If you’ve got a cool $100,000 to drop annually, Amazon’s got the product for you. Its new Nova Forge offering from Amazon Web Services gives organizations access to Amazon’s AI models in various stages of training so they can incorporate their own data earlier in the process. The results with Nova Forge will lean more heavily into the data that customers supply and will provide the option to refine open-weight models. (CNBC)

5. 📦 Amazon is Testing 30-Minute Deliveries

Your impulse buys are getting to you faster. Amazon is starting to test ultra-fast deliveries that aim to drop household goods at your doorstep in 30 minutes or less. The ‘Amazon Now’ service is launching in parts of Seattle and Philadelphia, allowing eligible customers to shop for items like fresh groceries, cosmetics, electronics, and more. (The Verge)

6. 📞 Android is Helping Flag Urgent Calls

This could do wonders for millennials’ phone call anxiety. Android is testing a new feature called ‘Call Reason’ which allows users to add an “urgent” indicator next to their calls. The flag shows up on the receiver’s incoming call screen and in their call history if they don’t pick up. (The Verge)

7. 😬 Mixpanel’s Pre-Thanksgiving Data Breach Wasn’t Handled Well

Well, here’s how not to announce a data breach. Last Wednesday, Mixpanel’s CEO announced that the company had detected an unspecified security incident in early November that affected some of its customers, but didn’t say how. Then, the company completely failed to respond to further inquiries about the breach. Very helpful. (TechCrunch)
