What you missed today
Good evening!
Unless your Cybertruck is being recalled again. Then it might not be such a good evening.
Anyway, here are the 7 things you missed today:
1. 🪧 Striking Port Union Workers Will Return To Work Tomorrow
The news is still evolving, but sources say that the International Longshoremen’s Association members will be back to work at ports from Maine to Texas on Friday. While there isn’t a final agreement on the complete contract, the two sides have agreed to a tentative deal on wages and a contract extension until January 15.
2. 🥂 Build Your Personal Brand on LinkedIn and Twitter While Sipping Mimosas
As a CEO, you know the power of a strong personal brand. But building one from scratch takes time and effort you might not have.
I struggled with this a lot, but I found Playbookz, an incredible ghostwriting service that can grow your reach to 100k+ in just 6 months - even without tons of followers. And if you don’t, they work for free!!
Playbookz specializes in creating impactful content for LinkedIn and Twitter, tailored specifically for executives like you and me.
With their expertise, you can grow your reach and influence without the hassle.
As a bonus for CEO Report readers, they're offering $1k off your first month.
3. 🛻 Tesla Is Recalling 27,000 Cybertrucks
No, not because the internet is making fun of them. Because of a rearview camera issue that delays the image of what’s behind you being displayed on the dashboard for up to 8 seconds. That’s well beyond the 2 seconds required by US federal safety rules and could increase the risk of a crash. In case you’re keeping count, this is the fifth recall issued for the EV since it was released last year.

5. 😬 Helene Could Upend The Global Semiconductor Chip Industry
Turns out virtually all of the world’s supply of high-purity quartz comes from a tiny North Carolina town that was devastated by Hurricane Helene. Oh also, high-purity quartz is required to produce semiconductors and fuel the $600 billion global semiconductor industry.
6. 📦 Amazon Is Hiring 250k Seasonal Workers
‘Tis the season for temporary hires. Amazon said it plans to hire 250,000 seasonal workers this holiday shopping season in transportation and warehouse roles. The number matches the company’s seasonal hiring numbers from last year. Target plans to hire 100,000 seasonal employees, Aldi aims for 13,000 workers, and Bath & Body Works plans for 30,000.
7. ☕️ Starbucks Is Buying Two Coffee Farms
In an effort to preserve and protect its coffee supply from natural disasters, Starbucks has invested in two more coffee farms: one in Guatemala and one in Costa Rica. The farms will help farmers increase profits and build climate resiliency.
