1. 🤑 OpenAI Has $20Bn ARR & $1.4T in Data Center Commitments

OpenAI has a wild “never have I ever.” The ChatGPT company has rarely gone any month in 2025 without signing a multi-billion data center deal with about $1.4 trillion of commitments over the next 8 years. The company also expects to end the year about $20 billion in annualized revenue run rate. (TechCrunch)

3. 🚲 Peloton Recalled 833k Bikes

Peloton really can’t catch a break. The fitness company is recalling around 833,000 of its original Bike+ machines following reports that some seat posts broke during use according to a CPSC report. The affected Bike+ units were sold between January 2020 and April 2025. (TechCrunch)

5. 🤔 10% of Meta’s Revenue Comes From Scams

I guess this is “keeping your enemies closer”? Meta projected that 10% of its overall annual revenue – about $16 billion – would come from fraudulent ads on its apps. While the company does have a system for detecting the likelihood of ad scams, it only deactivates an advertiser’s account if it’s 95% sure. (TechCrunch)

6. 🧠 Microsoft is Forming a Superintelligence Team

Time to outsmart the intelligence. Mustafa Suleyman, CEO of Microsoft’s AI group, announced the formation of the MAI Superintelligence team (which he will be leading). The team will perform advanced AI research to “solve real concrete problems.” (CNBC)

7. 💸 Inception Raised $50M to Build Diffusion-Based AI Models

No, it’s not the 2010 Christopher Nolan film. Inception, a startup developing diffusion-based AI models (aka generating outputs through iterative refinement rather than word-by-word), just raised $50 million in seed funding. The round was led by Menlo Ventures and included additional angel funding from Andrew Ng and Andrej Karpathy. (TechCrunch)
