In the first of many trade deals “in serious stages of negotiation,” The White House announced the first trade deal between the U.S. and the United Kingdom. As part of the deal, the U.K. will “fast-track” U.S. goods through customs and the U.S. is lowering the existing automobile tariff from 25% to 10% for the first 100,000 vehicles. (Quartz)

6. 📬 VMware Perpetual License Holders Received Cease-and-Desist Letters
When manufacturer Broadcom acquired VMware in November 2023, it ended VMware perpetual license sales. Now, the company has been sending cease-and-desist letters to owners of these licenses with expired support contracts to push them to buy subscriptions to VMware product bundles. (ArsTechnica)
