3. 🐿️ Acorns Acquired Early Bird to Expand Family Financial Tools
Savings and investing startup Acorns has acquired EarlyBird, an investment gifting platform for families, aiming to enhance its family-focused financial services. While the financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, EarlyBird will shut down and all customer accounts will officially close on June 23. (TechCrunch)

Reminder to always check your AI sources. Anthropic's AI assistant, Claude, generated a fake legal citation the company’s legal team used in its ongoing court battle with music publishers. The lawyers have since apologized for the error which hallucinated the citation with “an inaccurate title and inaccurate authors.” (TechCrunch)
6. 📺 Netflix is Using AI To Blend Ads With Show Content
At its Upfront advertiser event, Netflix unveiled plans to use AI to create ads that seamlessly integrate with its shows' aesthetics. These ads aim to provide a less disruptive viewing experience for users on its ad-supported tier. (The Verge)
7. 🚌 Uber Launched a Bus Service (Basically)
Uber announced its new Route Share service, which offers rides along fixed routes every 20 mins and costs up to 50% less than an UberX ride. So, basically, a bus system. The service will only be available in select cities and only during commuting hours in the morning and evening. (The Verge)
