What you missed today

Good evening!

Taking a break from playing around with my new favorite AI-enabled search engine to write this issue featuring my new favorite AI-enabled search engine (watch out, Perplexity).

Here are the 7 things you missed today:

1.  🚕 Uber, Lyft & Doordash Won Prop 22 Battle in California

According to California’s Supreme Court, Uber, Lyft, and DoorDash workers in California will remain independent contractors. The state’s court upheld Proposition 22, which provides greater benefits to workers classified as employees, in a win for ride-hailing and food delivery services across the state.

2. 📉 How to Decrease Your CPL By 95%

To fuel growth, you need potential new customers right? Whether you sell a service via an agency model or a physical product via an e-commerce store, the fuel to your growth is new customer emails. You can hit their inbox with your offer, value props, lead magnets, or testimonials.

All of those are great, but how do you actually know which emails are the customers visiting your site without paying Meta, Google, and others for that data?

Ross, a finance company owner, was struggling with rising Meta ad costs, was paying $3.50 per lead. He tried Smart Recognition, and ended up identifying 37.3% of his webpage visitors’ emails. This decreased his CPL from $3.50 to $0.17 and netted him 61,190 new leads in just 90 days, with his email drip campaign seeing a 4.3% click rate.

Smart Recognition is 100% CAN-SPAM compliant and has proven to boost profitability and growth. Want to see similar results?

3. 🦾 OpenAI Announced SearchGPT

A hot new search engine has entered the villa. OpenAI is taking on search engines like Google and Perplexity with its own AI-powered engine: SearchGPT, enabled with real-time access to information across the internet.
