3. 🥣 Ferrero is Buying WK Kellogg for $3.1Bn

Chocolate maker Ferrero has agreed to buy cereal giant WK Kellogg in a deal valued at $3.1 billion. The deal is expected to close in the latter half of the year, pending approval from shareholders and regulators, but shares of WK Kellogg have already soared 30% in pre-market trading. (CNBC)

6. 🧑‍⚖️ U.S. Appeals Court Blocked FTC’s ‘Click-to-Cancel’ Subscription Rule

A federal appeals court struck down the FTC’s rule requiring that subscription services offer equally easy cancellation at signup due to “procedural missteps” by the FTC. The rule was due to take effect July 14 but is now on hold pending further review. (TechCrunch)

7. 🤖 Ex-Intel CEO Debuted an AI Alignment Benchmark

Former Intel chief Pat Gelsinger has launched the Flourishing AI (FAI) benchmark to measure how well AI systems support human values like well-being, relationships, and health. The benchmark was designed in collaboration with faith-tech partner Gloo and is based on The Global Flourishing Study, directed by Harvard and Baylor Universities, to measure human well-being around the world. (TechCrunch)
