Good evening!

Lots of new AI tech to play around with thanks to GPT-5.

And if you have downtime after exploring the new GPT, we’d love it if you gave us your thoughts on this newsletter in our (brief!) Q3 audience survey here.

Here are the 7 things you missed today:

1. 🦾 OpenAI’s GPT-5 is Here For All ChatGPT Users

OpenAI finally launched GPT-5, its most advanced large-scale AI model. The company is making GPT-5 available to everyone through ChatGPT, even it’s free users. OpenAI claims GOT-5 is smarter, faster, and “a lot more useful,” particularly in areas like writing, coding, and health care. (CNBC)

2. 💸 C-Suites Are Losing Millions to Messy Data

If your data team is still typing, you're already behind.

Slow, siloed, and untrustworthy customer data is killing growth and burning cash. Why wait weeks for insights when Mammoth Growth delivers in days?

By combining world-class data consultants with purpose-built AI agents, Mammoth Growth helps exec teams unify and activate their data pipelines fast, turning insights into clear, tactical action before competitors catch up.

3. Microsoft is Bringing GPT-5 to Copilot

And with the launch of GPT-5 comes the launch of GPT-5 in Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Azure AI Foundry, GitHub Copilot, and more Microsoft products. The new smart mode in Copilot allows the AI assistant to switch between models for deeper reasoning or quick responses based on the task. (The Verge)

5. 💬 X Plans to Introduce Ads in Grok Responses

6. 💰 Skydance’s $8Bn Acquisition of Paramount is Complete

It’s official. Skydance Media’s deal to purchase CBS parent company Paramount Global for $8 billion is complete. The first order of business for incoming Chairman/CEO David Ellison? A massive restructuring splitting the business into three distinct units: studios, direct-to-consumer, and TV media. (The Verge)

7. 🚴 Peloton is Pivoting to Wellness & Laying Off 6%

Fitness leader Peloton may have beat Q4 expectations and reported $607 million in revenue, but the company is now leaning away from “just” cardio fitness into total wellness by integrating strength training, mediation, sleep, and nutrition with AI-powered personalization. As part of the transition, the company is laying off about 6% of its workforce, just a little over a year after laying off 15% & losing its CEO. (The Verge)
