1. ✨ Anthropic Launched Opus 5
Anthropic’s closing out the week with a bang. First the smooth updated voice and now the launch of the Opus 5 model. The AI start-up’s newest version of its long-standing heavyweight model is both cheaper and less restrictive than Fable 5 and outperforms it on a number of benchmarks. This upgrade also comes just two months after the Opus 4.8 and also doesn’t have the restrictions that come with Fable 5. (TechCrunch)

3. 🧠 Google Released 3 New Gemini Models
So Google DeepMind released Gemini 3.6 Flash, 3.5 Flash-Lite, and 3.5 Flash Cyber… but there’s one thing noticeably missing - no 3.5 Pro. Gemini 3.5 Flash is Google’s “workhorse model” promising improved capabilities in coding, knowledge work, and multimodal performance while reducing token usage by up to 17%, making it cheaper than its predecessor 3.5 Flash. 4. 🤝 Microsoft Bets on AMD to Loosen Nvidia's Grip
AMD announced Monday that Microsoft will deploy its new Helios rack-scale AI system on Azure, using it to power frontier-model inference for Microsoft, its AI customers, and Azure AI services. Helios bundles AMD's own GPUs, CPUs, networking chips, and software into a single system which is positioned as the first credible challenger to Nvidia's dominance in AI hardware. AMD expects to start shipping to Microsoft and other customers before the end of 2026. (Quartz)

Samsung is taking a page from Apple's playbook. The company launched the Samsung Galaxy Card, its first-ever US credit card, issued by Barclays on the Visa network and built directly into Samsung Wallet. The no-annual-fee card offers tiered cash rewards and doubles as Barclays' first digital-wallet-native card. This is a push to grow its US payments footprint against Apple Pay and Google Pay.
