Good evening!

I watched the premiere of the new ‘It’ reboot, ‘Welcome to Derry’ last night, and was severely disappointed. Anyone else watch it? Thoughts?

Here are the 7 things you missed today:

1. ✂️ Amazon is planning to cut 30,000 corporate jobs

While the retail giant might be a great option for a seasonal job, those in the corporate offices might not be so lucky. Amazon is allegedly implementing the company’s biggest job reduction since 2023, starting tomorrow. It’s expected to affect departments like HR, devices and services, and operations. (Tech Crunch)

2. 👔 Finally, a Playbook for Sustainable Leadership.

The best CEOs don’t work endless hours. They maximize the ones that matter. The 40-Hour CEO shows you how to delegate low-value tasks, reclaim your focus, and invest your time where it drives the highest ROI. Learn how 40 intentional hours can fuel sustainable growth and sharper leadership.

3. 🥊 Nvidia is Getting Some Market Competition

Tech company Qualcomm announced that it’s releasing new AI accelerator chips, opening up more competition for Nvidia (which has so far been dominating the AI semiconductor market). This new development is a bit of a shift for Qualcomm, having historically focused on semiconductors for wireless connectivity and mobile devices. Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and OpenAI are also developing their own AI accelerators for their cloud services. Qualcomm’s stock jumped 15% after the announcement. (CNBC)

5. 🤝 Lululemon and the NFL Are Partnering Up

If you’re a Lululemon fan, you’ll soon be able to rep your favorite football team in the athleisure company’s signature soft fabric. The retail store is partnering with the NFL to launch an apparel collection that features the logos of all 32 football teams. The collection, set to launch tomorrow, will contain both men’s and women’s clothing and is Lululemon’s latest push into the sports and performance market. The clothing store, famously known for yoga wear, has been struggling in recent years, and the NFL is continuing to push for a broader reach for its merchandise. Win/win? (CNBC)

6. 👟 Nike Has Plans for the First “Powered Footwear System”

Nike announced that it’s releasing “Project Amplify,” a robotic footwear system designed to help people run and walk faster. The retail giant says it’s been working on it for years, although it’s not in the market yet (and won’t be for several more years). It’s not intended for pros, but rather, athletes who want to go faster and further with less effort. No word on if it allows you to run from your problems faster…(The Verge)

7. 🎵 OpenAI Might Be Developing a New Music Tool

Rumors are swirling that OpenAI is teaming up with Juilliard School students to supply data for a tool that would generate music based on text and audio prompts. It could be used to add music to existing videos or instrument accompaniment to vocal tracks. It’s unclear when OpenAI plans to release such a tool. (Tech Crunch)
