What you missed today
Good evening!
Today’s news can probably be best summarized by that meme of Spiderman pointing at Spiderman. You know the one.
Here are the 7 things you missed today:
1. 🏧 JPMorgan Is Suing Customers
An “infinite money glitch” that went viral on TikTok and other social media platforms in late August has finally caught up to customers. JPMorgan Chase has begun suing customers who allegedly stole thousands of dollars from ATMs by taking advantage of this technical glitch that allowed them to withdraw funds before a check bounced.

5. 🧑⚖️ Delta Is Suing CrowdStrike & CrowdStrike Is Suing Delta
Speaking of flights… Delta Air Lines and CrowdStrike are suing each other over the outage in July that forced the carrier to cancel 7,000 flights in less than a week. Delta is asking for damages to cover over $500 million in losses with litigation costs and punitive damages. CrowdStrike is seeking a court declaration that it only owes the airline what’s in its service agreement.
6. 🍦 McDonald’s Locations Can Finally Fix Ice Cream Machines
You know how every time you want a McFlurry at McDonald’s, the ice cream machine is broken? Well, that’s about to change because the U.S. Copyright Office just issued a key exemption that allows restaurants to sidestep digital locks and have the “right to repair” machines embedded with software. The exemption allowing third-party repair activity will hopefully enable restaurants to improve customer service.
7. 🖥️ Apple Announced An Updated iMac With M4
And so Apple’s week of Mac-related announcements begins. Apple unveiled its new iMac today with the latest M4 chip. The iMac starts at $1,299 and is available to pre-order ahead of its release on November 8.
