Dominion is the utility company responsible for powering the world’s largest data center market in northern Virginia. NextEra Energy is the biggest renewable energy developer in the U.S. and the largest utility in the S&P 500. Together, the two companies, which are uniting in an all-stock deal valued at $67 billion, will be the world leader in renewables and battery storage. (CNBC)

5. 🧰 Anthropic Acquired the Dev Tools Startup Used by OpenAI, Google, & Cloudflare
Anthropic has acquired Stainless, a startup founded by former Stripe engineer Alex Rattay whose software is used by rival AI labs including OpenAI and Google. While Anthropic didn’t disclose the terms of the deal, The Information reported that the acquisition was in talks for more than $300 million. (TechCrunch)

Ethical fashion company Everlane is reportedly being sold for $100 million to Shein, known for its unethical fashion. While Everlane has been on shaky financial ground for years and was being shopped around by its majority owner, many consumers are voicing concerns of who it’s being sold to. (Fast Company)
