3. 📺 Disney is Paying Comcast $438.7M to Take Control of Hulu
Disney’s years-long appraisal process of Hulu is finally over. The mouse house has agreed to pay Comcast $438.7 million for its stake in the streaming service. In 2023, Disney first announced it intended to buy Comcast’s 33% stake in the streamer and, at the time, Disney paid $8.6 billion before entering into an appraisal process that was originally supposed to conclude in 2024. UNFI, one of North America’s largest grocery distributors and Whole Foods’ primary supplier, was hit by a cyberattack that disrupted its ability to fulfill and distribute customer orders. The unauthorized access was discovered last Thursday and the company has since shut down portions of its IT network. (TechCrunch)
7. 🏢 Amazon is Investing $20Bn in Pennsylvania AI Data Centers
Amazon plans to invest $20 billion to build two massive data centers in Pennsylvania, leveraging AI infrastructure that will generate around 1,250 skilled jobs and “support thousands more in the AWS data center supply chain.” (Quartz)
