Mark Zuckerberg has launched Meta Superintelligence Labs, consolidating all AI efforts under a newly formed unit led by ex-Scale AI CEO Alexandr Wang and former GitHub boss Nat Friedman. The new AI unit, known as MSL, will house the company’s various teams working on foundation models, products, and Fundamental Artificial Intelligence Research (FAIR) projects. (CNBC)

San Francisco and Tokyo-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform Tailor has raised $22 million in a Series A funding round with investors including ANRI, JIC VGI, NEA, Spiral Capital, and Y Combinator. The capital will help the startup expand its headless, API-first ERP platform and provide a highly customizable option.(TechCrunch)

6. 🇺🇸 U.S. Congress Might Block State AI Laws for 5 Years

A GOP-backed amendment within a mega spending bill could soon be signed into law that would block states and localities from enacting new AI regulations for five years. The measure includes carve-outs for child safety and biometric laws and could preempt state AI laws that have already passed, such as California’s AB 2013 and Tennessee’s ELVIS Act. (TechCrunch)

7. 🧑‍💻 Cursor Launched a Web App to Manage AI Coding Agents

Anysphere, the company behind viral AI coding editor Cursor, launched a web app today that allows users to manage a network of coding agents directly from their browser. This launch marks Cursor’s next big step beyond its AI-powered integrated development environment (IDE), the core product developers use to access its tools. (TechCrunch)
