Good evening!

Jack Dorsey was busy over the long weekend.

Here are the 7 things you missed today:

1. 💰 CoreWeave is Acquiring Core Scientific in a $9Bn All-Stock Deal

AI-oriented cloud infrastructure company CoreWeave has struck a $9 billion all-stock deal to acquire Core Scientific, a data center infrastructure provider. The deal expand’s CoreWeave’s access to power and real estate, securing over 1.3 GW of data center power and shedding $10 billion in lease obligations. (CNBC)

2. 🚀 B2B Teams Are Turning to Video

To kick off Q3, B2B Marketers are honing in on video content. Across platforms, studies show that consumers retain 90% more content + information when it's presented as a video vs. a written ad.

I met up with the Founder of Spacebar Visuals after they helped 75+ B2B companies to create explainer videos, product demos, customer testimonials, and more to boost engagement and drive leads.

They handle everything, from scriptwriting to voiceover.

I want to put the first six marketers reading CEO Report on my tab with Spacebar for a free animated video AND an Oura Ring. Seriously.

3. 💬 Jack Dorsey Launched a WhatsApp Competitor

Block CEO and Twitter co‑founder Jack Dorsey is beta-testing “Bitchat,” a new decentralized, peer-to-peer messaging app that works entirely over Bluetooth mesh networks without internet, central servers, phone numbers, or emails. (CNBC)

4. ☀️ The OOO Opportunity

Interrupting your regularly scheduled programming with a quick note from behind the scenes - it’s Isabelle, Max's Head of Partnerships 👋

Being in sales myself, I know that this is the time of year when B2B brands quietly accept that “summer is just slow.” If you hear that from your team? Immediately, no. Wrong. Sorry not sorry. 💁‍♀️

The leads don’t disappear. They just need different communication from you when they’re half-working from the lake house.

Those touch points are what we’ve been building for 40+ clients all year.

We handle it all. Ads, leads, newsletters, nurturing... and the result? 20+ warm leads a month while your competitors are still blaming the weather.

We have two spots open for July. Looking forward to meeting you!

5. 🚕 Waymo is Starting Up in Philadelphia

Waymo is beginning testing its self-driving rideshares in Philadelphia, starting with safety drivers behind the wheel to map and test local streets. The move is a controlled step toward eventual full autonomy, pending local regulator approval. (CNBC)

6. 👀 TikTok Might Get a U.S. Buyer Soon (and a New App)

According to reports from The Information, an agreement for TikTok’s U.S. sale satisfying the divest-or-ban law is close (with Oracle’s name getting thrown in the ring) and would trigger a new, separate version of the app… but only if the Chinese government agrees. (The Verge)

7. 🛍️ Amazon’s Prime Day Spending is Expected to Rival 2 Black Fridays

This year’s four-day Prime Day event is Amazon’s longest sale holiday yet, and it’s expected to break records. According to a new Adobe Analytics forecast, online spending across U.S. retailers could hit nearly $24 billion – about the same as having two Black Fridays rolled into one week. (Quartz)
