5. 🧱 Lego’s Launching a Smart Brick
This isn’t your kids’ Legos. The building-toy company announced its most ambitious brick ever made: a tiny computer that fits entirely inside a classic 2×4 Lego brick. The Smart Brick will make entire Lego sets come to life when it detects NFC-equipped smart tags nearby, which will be embedded in new Lego tiles and minifigures. (Reuters)
6. 📦 Amazon Competitor Stord Bought AI Fulfillment Platform Shipwire
Watch out, Amazon. eCommerce logistics startup Stord has bought CEVA Logistics subsidiary AI fulfillment platform Shipwire for an undisclosed amount. The deal, which closed January 1, adds 12 new locations to Stord’s growing logistics network and about 60 new employees. (CNBC)
7. 🕸️ Amazon’s Alexa AI Assistant Has a Website
Actually, Amazon’s doing just fine. The tech giant’s AI-powered overhaul of its digital assistant, Alexa+, is getting its own website. The site is now rolling out to all Alexa+ Early Access customers and allows customers to use the service just like other AI chatbots such as ChatGPT or Google’s Gemini. (TechCrunch)
