The AI company claims DeepSeek and two other Chinese AI companies – MiniMax and Moonshot – misused its Claude AI model in an attempt to improve their own products and are essentially “distilling” Claude, or training a smaller AI model based on a more advanced one. 3. 🏭 Amazon is Spending $12Bn in Louisiana
Unfortunately, not on beignets and gumbo. The tech giant is planning to spend $12 billion on new data center campuses in Louisiana and the infrastructure to power artificial intelligence and cloud computing. The campuses will be built in the Caddo and Bossier Parishes, and will create 540 full-time jobs and about 1,700 other roles that will serve the sites. (CNBC)

5. 🧠 Guide Labs is Building a New Interpretable LLM
It’s often tough to understand why deep learning models do what they do. San Francisco startup Guide Labs wants to solve that. Led by CEO Julius Adebayo and chief science officer Aya Abdelsalam Ismail, the company just open sourced an 8-billion-parameter LLM, Steerling-8B, trained with a new architecture designed to make its actions easily interpretable. 6. 💼 Job Seekers Are Turning to ‘Reverse Recruiting’
Getting a new job is increasingly difficult these days. As opposed to the traditional recruiting dynamic where companies hire firms to fill open positions, candidates are signing up for “reverse recruiting” services that apply for positions on their behalf, charge fees, and even take a percentage of their salary once a job is secured.
