As you can expect, the data center giant’s stock rose 2% today as a result. The plans to raise $45 billion to $50 billion of gross cash proceeds during calendar year 2026 would help it develop additional capacity to meet contracted demand from its cloud customers, which include Nvidia, Meta, OpenAI, AMD, TikTok, and xAI. Don’t love AI in your browser? You might want to move to Firefox. The Mozilla web browser announced that it’ll soon let users block all current and future generative AI features, as well as certain AI features while keeping others. The rollout will start with the Firefox 148 release on February 24, where users will find a new “AI controls” section within the desktop browser settings. (TechCrunch)
7. 🌱 Carbon Robotics Built a Plant/Not Plant AI Model
Like hot dog/not hot dog, for horticulturists. Seattle-based Carbon Robotics, the maker of a robot fleet that uses lasers to kill weeds, just announced its new AI model, the Large Plant Model (LPM). The model recognizes plant species instantly and allows farmers to target new weeds without needing to retrain the robots. (TechCrunch)
