7. 🇺🇸 Small Businesses Could Face $10k in Fines For Missing US Reporting Deadline

The US Chamber of Commerce announced a new federal reporting requirement for businesses. The deadline to submit a Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) Report to the Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) is January 1, 2025. Failure to file or update the info by the deadline could result in up to two years imprisonment and civil penalties of up to $591/day. (Quartz)
