Google parent Alphabet is acquiring data center and energy infrastructure company Intersect for $4.75 billion in cash in addition to the assumption of debt. Instersect’s operations will remain independent, but the acquisition will help bring more data center and generation capacity online faster. (CNBC)

3. 🚕 Waymo is Back Up in SF After a Blackout
After a massive blackout appeared to leave many of Waymo’s robotaxis stalled on city streets on Saturday evening, the company suspended service in San Francisco. The outage didn’t last too long though, as Waymo resumed service late Sunday afternoon. (TechCrunch)

Tory Bruno, the CEO of SpaceX’s rival United Launch Alliance, is leaving the position after 12 years on the job “to pursue another opportunity.” Bruno’s resignation comes at a time when newer private spaceflight companies are increasingly driving the launch market. (TechCrunch)
7. 🛑 Instacart is Ending its Controversial Dynamic Pricing Experiment
Well, that A/B test is over. Instacart said it’s pulling the plug on its item-level price tests, effective immediately. News of its dynamic pricing practice drew public criticism and regulator scrutiny over the prospect of different buyers seeing different prices for the same items at the same store locations.
