After losing major market share to competitor Nvidia, America’s leading semiconductor company Intel ousted its CEO Pat Gelsinger over the weekend. The company announced Gelsinger’s resignation this morning which apparently came from a contentious board meeting last week. Intel CFO David Zinsner and products CEO MJ Holthaus were named interim co-CEOs. (CNBC)

3. 🤑 Black Friday Hit A Record $74.4Bn In Online Sales
Well, depending on who you ask. Adobe claims that, in the US, consumers made a record-breaking $10.8 billion of purchases, up 10.2% from last year. Salesforce, on the other hand, is giving a much higher estimate with $17.5 billion spent in the US and $74.4 billion spent globally, up 5% YoY. (TechCrunch)

5. 👋 Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares Resigned
Joining the sudden CEO departures is Stellantis’ Carlos Tavares who unexpectedly resigned from the automaker on Sunday amidst “increasingly different views” between the executive and the board of directors. The company is establishing a new interim executive committee led by Chairman John Elkann. (CNBC)
6. 🍴 America’s Biggest Private Company Is Laying Off Thousands
Cargill, the Minnesota-based food production giant, is laying off about 5% – or roughly 8,000 – of its global workforce in response to dropping food commodity prices. Cargill is America’s largest privately held company and the world’s largest agricultural commodities trader. (CNN)
7. 🍸 Stoli Vodka Filed For Bankruptcy In US
Stoli Group USA, the owner of the namesake vodka, has filed for bankruptcy due to slowing demand for spirits, a major cyberattack, and several years of fighting Russia in court. The company’s products will still be available on store shelves while the company navigates the Chapter 11 process. (CNN)
