What you missed today

Good evening!

If you want to order anything from Amazon, you might want to do that soon…

Here are the 7 things you missed today:

1. 🇨🇦 Canada’s Finance Minister Quit

Canada’s Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland quit the role today after disagreements with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on issues including how to handle possible US tariffs. Freeland’s resignation is being noted by experts as one of the biggest crises Trudeau has experienced since taking power in November 2015. (CNBC)

2. 👀 Something New Up My Sleeve

Hey, it's @MarketingMax, The Founder of CEO Report! I've been working with a handful of Software & Service businesses on a new lead funnel involving hyper-targeted ads & nurturing email sequences. The results are starting to speak for themself:

"We are booking 5 to 10 qualified calls a week." - Agency owner

"This turned our sleep list full of thousands of potential buyers into a revenue machine for our SaaS business." - SaaS CMO

...if you want to launch a profitable lead gen funnel in 2025 & have some budget, I'm looking for 3 more SaaS or Service businesses to round out the year.

3. 🔥 Drone Stocks Are Ramping Up

Amid an uptick in mysterious sightings of drones in New Jersey and other Northeast states, drone stocks – specifically those in Red Car Holdings, following its Palantir partnership announcement – have been rallying with growing retail interest. (CNBC)

4.  💌 Insanely Good SEO for Insanely Low Prices (Yes, Really)

Most SEO agencies will charge you $5,000 a month, promise the world, and deliver nothing but a confusing report and disappointment. Ranked is the exact opposite.

These guys are almost too good to be true, but they’re actually amazing. We use them ourselves, and the results speak for themselves:

  • Real SEO that works — weekly content, site optimization, and quality backlinks

  • Full transparency — clear deliverables and easy-to-read reports

  • No BS contracts — all plans are month-to-month, starting at just $99/month

I know what you’re thinking: “$99? Is it a scam?” Nope. Just a team that figured out how to make SEO actually affordable and effective.

5. 🪧 Amazon May Face a Warehouse Strike

Amazon warehouse workers nationwide are threatening to launch the “first large-scale” unfair labor practices strike in US history due to dangerous workplace conditions. The worker safety concerns have now been supported by a new report from Sen. Bernie Sanders who started investigating Amazon in June 2023. (ArsTechnica)

6. ☕️ Starbucks is Tripling its Parental Leave for US Baristas

Starbucks really wants in-store employees to stay – so, starting in March 2025, the company will offer 18 weeks of paid leave to birth parents, covering 100% of their average pay. Non-birth parents will receive 12 weeks of paid leave. To qualify, employees must work at least 20hrs/week. (Quartz)

7. 🏷️ Delta’s App Now Supports Apple’s Share Item Location Feature

For those of us with little trust in airports to get our bags in the right place, Delta Airlines’ mobile app is happy to ease concerns. The Fly Delta App now integrates with Apple’s Share Item Location feature which allows you to put an AirTag in your luggage and share its location with the airline to help them locate lost or delayed bags.
