What you missed today
Good evening!
We’ve seen a lot of companies embracing AI, but not a lot standing up against it… until now.
Here are the 7 things you missed today:
1. 🚙 GM Layed Off Over 1,000 Employees
In an effort to streamline its software and services division, General Motors is laying off more than 1,000 salaried employees globally. The layoff comes less than six months after major changes in the department’s leadership.
2. 💸 If You're Making over $100k, You're Overpaying Taxes…
It's a harsh reality: you don’t realize how much you’re overpaying taxes and how it eats into your hard-earned lifestyle, stunting growth and limiting possibilities.
But it doesn't have to be this way. I found Integrated Wealth Systems, which has helped dozens of brands and entrepreneurs grow their businesses and wealth. How? By making money, investing money, keeping money, and doing this with a team of experts!
Don’t let your lack of financial literacy or strategy cause you to overpay in taxes. Join IWS’s strategy and learn how to live corporate life (you don't have to move to Puerto Rico)!
3. ✒️ AMD Signed a $4.9Bn Deal To Compete With Nvidia
Watch out, Nvidia. AMD is coming for the chip market leader, as seen in its latest plans to acquire AI infrastructure group ZT Systems in a $4.9 billion cash and stock transaction. The deal should help AMD accelerate its Instinct line of AI data center chips – a competitor with Nvidia’s GPUs.
4. 😭 Cold Emails Not Working?
Maybe try something a little less... cold? You can get in front of 10X more potential buyers and warm them up before they get on a call, by creating magnetic Linkedin & Twitter content with BIG FISH.
For only $1,350/mo, the team at BIG FISH will not only write high-engaging content in your tone of voice, but also promote the content through their social networks creating a steady stream of endless new business opportunities within the first 30 days!

5. 🚂 Canada’s Potential Rail Shutdown Could Have Major Economic Effects
Canada’s two largest railroad operators – Canadian National Railway and Canadian Pacific Kansas City – issued lockout notices on Sunday to the Teamsters union, which represents nearly 10,000 workers. The potential labor stoppage could inflict billions of dollars of economic damage and could disrupt rail trade across North America.
6. 🚫 iPad App Procreate is Anti-AI
If you’re looking for AI art tools, you won’t find them on Procreate. The popular iPad design app released a statement on its website today that it will never introduce generative AI features into its products even if it puts the company “at risk of being left behind.”
7. 🏍️ Harley-Davidson Dropped DEI Initiatives
In response to online pressure from conservatives, Harley-Davidson announced that it’s ending its diversity and progressive initiatives, including ending its relationship with the Human Rights Campaign and reviewing all sponsorships and affiliate organizations.
