What you missed today
Good evening!
You know it’s a wild time when gyms are closing, but Chuck E. Cheese is thriving.
Here are the 7 things you missed today:
1. 🏋️ Blink Fitness Filed For Bankruptcy
It’s not looking good for affordable gyms. Despite being owned by luxury gym chain Equinox, budget gym chain Blink Fitness filed for bankruptcy and said it may close some of its 101 clubs. The closure shows the lingering impact of the pandemic on the fitness industry, which caused 25% of U.S. gyms and studios to permanently close.
2. 🛑 STOP before THIS ruins your client projects
Outdated spreadsheets and scattered workflows can make managing content projects a nightmare. I’ve found Monday.com's Content Calendar Template the best at streamlining the entire process. 🚀
You can easily plan campaigns, track analytics, and automate tedious tasks all in one place. With real-time collaboration, your team can stay organized and aligned, leading to a boost in both productivity and creativity.
🍒 on top? Your team will love how easy it is to work with!
3. 🗑️ SpaceX Repeatedly Polluted Texas
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) released a notice of violation last week claiming that SpaceX violated environmental regulations by repeatedly releasing pollutants into or near bodies of water at its Starbase launch facility.

5. 🔔 TikTok Sent Out Fake News Alerts
Did you get a notification from TikTok today about a tsunami warning in Japan? If so, you were one of many. TikTok sent many notifications with false claims ranging from Taylor Swift to an April Fools’ prank. TikTok has since said that it removed the concerning notifications.
6. 🏬 Macy’s Closures Will Set Off Wave of Change
Macy’s announced back in February that it was planning to close about 150 of its stores by early 2027, signaling the downsizing of department stores. While the retailer still hasn’t revealed which locations will close, mall owners are starting to get eager for the prime real estate to make way for new construction.
7. 🐭 The Next Subscription Business? Chuck E. Cheese
Why subscribe to Netflix when you can subscribe to Chuck E. Cheese? The family entertainment chain is launching a nationwide monthly membership program starting at $7.99 for a set number of games every day with an additional discount on food, depending on your tier. The chain sold 350,000 passes so far just in its trial test.
Bonus. CEO Tip Of The Day
If you consider yourself “always available,” here’s why you might want to change that and how you can do your best work by honing in your availability.
