What you missed today

Good evening!

Nothing is certain in life except death, taxes, and viral internet memes being turned into cryptocurrency.

Here are the 7 things you missed today:

1.  💉 WeightWatchers CEO Sima Sistani Is Out

After only two and a half years in the position, WeightWatchers CEO Sima Sistani is leaving the position. Sistani is known for pushing the 61-year-old company into weight-loss drugs with the acquisition of a telehealth platform that connected patients with doctors who can prescribe such medications, like Ozempic and Wegovy. The pivot didn’t work, and the stock has plummeted 90% YTD.

2.  😮‍💨 Save Yourself 30 Days Of Stress

3. 💶 Meta Was Hit With $101.5M EU Fine

New memecoin just dropped. The now-viral baby pygmy hippo from Thailand, Moo Deng (which translates to “bouncy pork”), has her own cryptocurrency now. Moo Deng Coin has shot up 1,400% since it was created less than three weeks ago – but don’t let that fool you. Just take a look at Dogecoin or Shib coin.

6.  🚗 Hertz Is Facing A Potential Teamsters Strike

Rental car operations on the West Coast could come to a halt on Monday. The International Brotherhood of Teamsters has been negotiating contracts with rental car company Hertz for over a month. Now it says that if they can’t get a deal done by Monday, 3,000 workers in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah, and Washington will go on strike.

7.  🎃 Spirit Halloween Delivers On Uber Now

The latest Spirit Halloween pop-up store is opening on the Uber app. The two companies just announced a new partnership, opening up delivery for Halloween costumes, decor, and all things spooky via Uber Eats, Postmates, and the Uber app.

Bonus. CEO Tip Of The Day

The harsh reality of building a business: many superior products fail because success depends on more than having the best deliverable. Sit on that over the weekend.
