1. 📱 Meta debuts ‘Vibes’ AI video feed in the Meta AI app
Inside the Meta AI app and on meta.ai, users can browse a new feed of short AI-generated videos. You can create from scratch or remix clips, add music and style changes, then post to Vibes, DM, or cross-post to Instagram and Facebook Stories/Reels. The feed personalizes over time based on what you view. Meta calls this an early preview and says more creation tools and models are coming. (Tech Crunch)

3. 🤝 Here’s what’s happening now with the U.S. TikTok deal
An executive order signed Thursday by President Donald Trump approves a sale of TikTok’s U.S. operations to a U.S. investor group. TechCrunch reports an about $14B valuation for TikTok U.S. and says a consortium including Oracle, Silver Lake and Andreessen Horowitz is expected to hold ~80%. Oracle would oversee security and retrain a U.S. version of TikTok’s algorithm leased from ByteDance, with a mostly U.S. board. Bloomberg reporting cited by TechCrunch says the current app could be discontinued in the U.S. when the deal closes. (Tech Crunch)

5. 💰 Electronic Arts in advanced talks to go private at ~$50B
The Wall Street Journal report, cited by Reuters, says a group including Silver Lake and Saudi Arabia’s PIF could announce a deal as soon as next week. EA shares rose more than 14% on the news. Reuters also notes EA launched College Football 26 in July and unveiled a Battlefield 6 trailer. The new Battlefield is slated to launch in the current fiscal year. (Reuters)
6. 🌎 Anthropic to triple international workforce amid overseas demand
Nearly 80% of Claude’s consumer usage is outside the U.S., with higher per-person use in South Korea, Australia and Singapore. The company plans to triple its international headcount and expand its applied-AI team 5x this year. Reuters reports new offices in Tokyo, Dublin, London and Zurich plus a new international MD, Chris Ciauri. Revenue run-rate rose from about $1B to over $5B in 2025, and business clients grew from <1,000 to 300,000+ in two years. (Yahoo Finance)
7. 💸 Wall Street rises on in-line PCE; indexes still set for weekly loss
August PCE inflation increased 0.3% month-over-month and 2.7% year-over-year, matching estimates. By afternoon, the Dow was +0.83%, the S&P 500 +0.62%, and the Nasdaq +0.44%. Paccar gained 5% after new U.S. import tariffs, and Eli Lilly rose about 1.5%. Investors were also bracing for quarter-end and a potential government shutdown, Reuters reported. (Reuters)
