What you missed today

Good evening!

Do you think it’s a good or bad idea to reopen the site of the worst nuclear disaster the U.S. has ever had? Hmm….

Here are the 7 things you missed today:

1.   ⚫️ J&J Subsidiary Filed For Bankruptcy

A Johnson & Johnson subsidiary, J&J’s Red River Talc, filed for bankruptcy for a third time today in the midst of an approximately $8 billion proposed settlement that would end tens of thousands of lawsuits alleging the company’s baby powder caused cancer.

3. 🔋 Three Mile Island Is Reopening For Microsoft

Three Mile Island, the site of the worst nuclear disaster in the United States, is reopening and exclusively selling its power to Microsoft. The site’s Unit 1 reactor was closed five years ago, but Constellation Energy expects it to be revived in 2028.

6.  💉 FTC Is Suing Drug Middlemen

The FTC filed a lawsuit today against UnitedHealth Group’s Optum Rx, CVS Health’s Caremark, and Cigna’s Express Scripts arguing that the insulin price middlemen use practices that boost their profits while “artificially” inflating costs for patients.

7.  🛰️ Starlink Is Imposing a $100 “Congestion Fee”

New Starlink customers in areas where the satellite broadband network has limited capacity will have to pay a $100 “congestion charge.” The good news is, it’s just a one-time charge… unless you change your service address or service plan.
