Good Evening!

Apple just decided your AI agent has seen quite enough of your hard drive.

Here are the 7 things you missed today:

1. 🎬 Paramount & Warner Bros. Discovery Will Be Called Skydance

Turns out Paramount's answer to naming a $110Bn studio was to reach for the family business. CEO David Ellison says the combined Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery will operate as Skydance once the deal closes October 6, pulling CBS, CNN, MTV, HBO Max and Paramount+ under one roof. A judge cleared the 12-state settlement this week. Both studio brands reportedly stay. (TechCrunch)

2. 💸 Are you currently spending on Google or Meta?

You're probably leaving tons of ROI on the table by not:

  • Making your ads more pain-point driven

  • Optimizing the post-click experience (because people will spend 5X more time consuming your landing page than your ad)

…well, that's exactly what my team and I do at Max's Media Buyers to the tune of $100,000,000+ in attributable ad revenue generated through profitable ad funnels. Let us audit your account and see just how much money your current ad person/team is leaving on the table.

3. 🍏 Apple is Locking Down Mac Disk Access Over AI Agents

Turns out letting an AI agent read your entire hard drive has consequences, and Apple noticed. The company is adding new controls around macOS Full Disk Access, saying agents have increased the risks of that permission. It follows an Inc. columnist's claim that Meta's Muse app knew his private messages, which Meta disputes, plus a reported ChatGPT Mac flaw. (TechCrunch)

4. 💰 AI Labs Need Real Business Data...

... and they're willing to pay readers of this very newsletter $200,000 - $1,000,000 for an AI data license agreement that will anonymize your systems, processes, & data... to train their AI.

This may be the easiest way to add 6 figures to your bottom line! Don't pass up this opportunity before these big LLMs stop offering AI data license agreements... They'll anonymize your data and pay you $$$ for it so what are you waiting for:

5. 🏥 Epic Froze Development to Patch MyChart Security Holes

Nothing clears a roadmap quite like finding out Epic's MyChart might leak patient records silently. Founder Judy Faulkner says the medical records giant paused most product work for roughly six weeks after Anthropic's Mythos cybersecurity model surfaced flaws. Its security chief told the Times some configurations could let outsiders read records without leaving a trace. MyChart holds over 320 million patient records. (TechCrunch)

6. 🇨🇳 A State-Backed Chinese Lender Funded Restricted Nvidia Chip Buys

Turns out Nvidia's restricted chips found a lender in Beijing's own backyard. Filings reviewed by Bloomberg show Semi-Tech Leasing Group, a financing firm controlled by local Chinese government entities, funded over 3 billion yuan of server purchases for Glory View Technology. Those servers reportedly run Nvidia Blackwell chips that U.S. export rules keep out of China. (Quartz)

7. 🇸🇮 Slovenia's .si Domain is Booming After Trump's Super Intelligence Order

Slovenia just got handed the .ai boom's sequel, and nobody planned it. Registry SI told the BBC that .si registrations jumped 2,199% in September after an executive order required federal agencies to call AI super intelligence instead. Roughly 11,000 addresses landed on September 30 alone. Wix, for its part, reportedly sees no meaningful uptick yet. (TechCrunch)
