Good evening!

Did you try and fail to make a Zelle transfer today? The company says, try now.

Here are the 7 things you missed today:

1. 🇨🇳 Cheap Goods From China Just Got More Expensive

RIP TikTok shopping hauls. As of today, the U.S. has ended the de minimis exemption, which previously allowed duty-free imports of goods under $800 from China and Hong Kong. Retailers Shein and Temu have already raised prices to account for tariffs. (The Verge)

2. 😴 Email & SMS Marketing so good, it’s boring

Let’s be real. Email marketing is not the “sexiest” member of the marketing family. And that’s okay. As a business owner, you have enough “exciting” stuff happening. Let Omnisend be the reliable, stable and effective platform you don’t need to worry about.

  • No guessing whether that marketing campaign will pay off. Brands using Omnisend on average make $68 for every $1 spent.

  • No need to learn anything new here. A platform so boringly intuitive, it’s like you designed it yourself.

  • No venturing into the great unknown. Our support team is available 24/7 to make sure you don’t have any unwanted adventures.

  • Same same, but for less. Get everything you expect from other platforms, except for those rollercoaster prices that make your heart race.

3. 📱 Apple’s App Store Now Allows for External Purchases

Following a decisive court ruling in the Epic v. Apple case, Apple has updated its U.S. App Store guidelines to allow developers to include external links for purchases, eliminating the previously mandatory 27% commission on such transactions (The Verge)

6. 🏦 Zelle Outage Disrupted U.S. Bank Transfers

Peer-to-peer money transfer service Zelle experienced a widespread outage today for users at several major banks including Bank of America, Truist, and Navy Federal Credit Union. The issue, attributed to a third-party vendor—reportedly payments giant Fiserv—left users unable to complete transactions, with many seeing payments marked as "pending.” (CNN)

7. 🤖 Airbnb is Quietly Rolling Out an AI Customer Service Bot

Airbnb started rolling out an AI-powered customer service bot in the U.S. last month with no announcement or notification. CEO Brian Chesky said 50% of Airbnb’s U.S. users are already using the AI bot for customer service and the company plans to roll out the feature to all U.S. users this month. The feature has reduced the need for human agents by 15%. (Techcrunch)
