Good Evening!
If you’ve ever wanted to watch Sam Altman and Palmer Luckey go head-to-head in a card game, I’ve got some great news for you…
Here are the 7 things you missed today:
1. 💰 Google Will Pay SpaceX $920M Per Month For Compute
Another win for SpaceX’s historic IPO. The company just announced a new deal where Google will pay it $920 million per month from October 2026 through June 2029 for access to “approximately 110,000 NVIDIA GPUs, CPUs, memory, and other related components.” The deal is similar to the one SpaceX announced with Anthropic in late may for $1.25 billion per month for compute through 2029. (TechCrunch)
2. 🤩 The Easiest Way to Become an AI Pro
I’m going out on a limb here and assuming you enjoy reading newsletters. Well, I have another one to add to your list, and it takes less time to read than it does to brew a pot of coffee.
Superhuman AI is a free newsletter that keeps you up to date on the latest AI news and tools.
What I love is that it’s filtered from 1000s of sources, so you’re only receiving updates that matter to your industry. Plus, they only feature tools that actually drive real results (and they know this because they test them first.)
3. 🚫 S&P 500 Rejected SpaceX (+ OpenAI & Anthropic)
SpaceX has been pushing its swift entry into several stock market indexes as a condition of its historic market debut. But the S&P 500 isn’t biting. The S&P Dow Jones (the company that creates and manages indexes such as the S&P 500) is refusing to bend its rules for the space and AI company. In rejecting this monumental exception, it’s also shattered the possibility for OpenAI and Anthropic to expect an exception for their expected IPOs. (ArsTechnica)
4. 😬 Still Relying on Ranking, Clicking, and Converting?
Website traffic used to be the best indicator of marketing success. But now, influence happens way before the website visit.
Which leaves you wondering:
Which KPIs should I actually be measuring?
Where are my buyers really paying attention?
How exactly are AI, social, and search changing the purchasing journey?
Get all these answers and more in a special session of the B2B Growth Show, hosted by Paul Slack and SparkToro co-founder Rand Fishkin.
5. 🇨🇦 Canada is Launching a $360M Homegrown AI Fund
AI, eh? That’s what Canada’s hoping more of its residents say now that it’s launching a national AI strategy that includes a $500M CAD (~$360M USD) fund designed to help Canadian AI companies compete globally and keep its talent and intellectual property anchored domestically. (Quartz)
6. 🔥 Supabase Doubled its Valuation to $10Bn in 8 Months
Good vibes only. Vibe-coding open source database Supabase has raised a $500 million Series F at a $10 billion pre-money valuation (about $10.5 billion after the investment). The new decacorn has been doubling its valuation every few months for a couple of years now with database launches on Supabase having grown +600% in the past year with +60% of them launched “by some sort of AI tool.” (TechCrunch)
