A bipartisan letter from two leaders of the US House of Representatives’ committee on China today was sent to Apple and Google-parent Alphabet. The US Supreme Court agreed to hear a case related to California’s ability to set its own – often strict – vehicle emissions standards that include curbs on greenhouse gases. The case stems from the Environmental Protection Agency’s authority to issue national standards under the federal Clean Air act. (CNBC)

7. 😬 UnitedHealth’s Optum Left An Internal Tool Open to the Internet

Healthcare giant Optum left an internal AI chatbot, used by employees to understand patient health insurance claims and disputes, publicly accessible online. The chatbot access has since been restricted and did not appear to contain or produce sensitive personal health information. (TechCrunch)
